Day 7 Practicing Holy Instant || Priestess ACIM Lesson
Palo Santo, kitty cuddles, and chill has been the theme of my rare relaxed weekend. I would like to share though I had a very emotional time processing yesterdays lesson as the day unfolded.
The Holy Instant can be right now!
-A Course in Miracles
I found one relationship of mine in particular sticking out in the forefront of my mind abrasively rubbing me and capitalizing my thoughts. I tried to hand it over… I tried to reach for a better thought but it felt hard, the pain felt real and my ego mind loved running the same old “NON real” storyline in my head- predicting future outcomes based on the current behaviors I was seeing and judging in my partner. It was nasty y’all!!😬 Finally after battling with it all day and of course with no relief I broke down into tears last night and got down on my knees. I sobbed like a little baby, completely bewildered and helpless, I whined and cried and cried, and then once I had somehow soothed myself through the emotional release I prayed. I asked God, Spirit and the Universe to take this from me, the pain, the attack thoughts. I surrendered our relationship over to the Holy Spirit and asked that His plans for it be all that matters and all that I see. I ran through a stream of prayers like the ones above over and over again until finally I grew still and quite. Almost like in a movie, suddenly I felt every muscle in my neck, shoulders, back and entire being relax with an exhale. The relief was indescribable like I had been holding in my breath for years and finally in that moment had just let it out, let it go, surrendered.
MAJOR breakthrough people! I can describe the after shocks of this Holy Instant as nothing but a overwhelm of total peace and complete wholeness. As the laws of the universe work, sure enough my lover energetic felt it, for in my release he too was free. For those of you wondering how can the relationship be purified if only one person seems to be praying for it, please know that THAT is all it takes!!! One partner giving the relationship to the Holy Spirit to be purified is to the benefit of both partners! It truly is a healing that happens within the one and vicariously mends the joint bond of the two.
SOOO now for today’s lesson, I’m gonna hop right into sharing the excerpts, but first I want to say I decided to stay on Chapter 15 especially with all that was being brought up. I moved to IV today, “Practicing the Holy Instant”, the one thing I would like to note is notice how the word; littleness is used. It struck me the resonance to that of the ego’s voice and the littleness it carries with it. It occurred to me that the two are one in the same!
This course is not beyond immediate learning. Unless you believe that what God wills takes time.

Your practice must therefore rest upon your willingness to let all littleness go.

The instant in which magnitude draws upon you is but as far away as your desire for it.

The release from littleness in the mind of the host of God depends on willingness and not on time.

The reason this Course is simple is that truth is simple. Complexity is of the ego, and is nothing more than the ego’s attempt to obscure the obvious.

The necessary condition for the Holy Instant does not require that you have no thoughts that are not pure. But it does require that you have none that you would keep.

Innocence is not of your making it is given to you the instant you would have it.

For what you hide is hidden from you.

In your practice, then, try only to be vigilant against deception, and seek not to protect the thoughts you would keep to yourself. Let the Holy Spirit’s purity shine them away, and bring all your awareness to the readiness for purity He offers you.

Thus will He make you ready to acknowledge that you are host to God, and hostage to no one and to nothing.
