Day 9 Two Pictures || Priestess ACIM Lesson
Today I feel like a new woman!
I can’t quite put my finger on it. I wrote about it a bit last night on my Instagram post, trying to share my process. I detailed the moment, just a few days ago where I broke down, surrendered and got down on my knees for the first time in a year to release and pray.
It (the mind) does not realize that it (the ego) is totally insane. And you must realize just what this means if you would be restored to sanity.

I havant felt the same since that day and the peace in my heart is just astounding, though not fully surprising as GOD has always been for me in those moments where I arrive at the end of my own will. I will however, never forget the emotions leading up to this most recent breakdown moment so that I can recognize the signs a bit sooner. Because, if I’m completely honest I have been leaking my precious life force for MONTHS depriving myself of the only love there actually is in this world and instead relying on my egoic special relationships to fill me cup. WHICH: breaking new… they. never. will….
Day 9 of my 40 day commitment to studying A Course in Miracles led me to a deeply philosophical and illustrative passages in Chapter 17, IV “The Two Pictures”. Which by the way I will link the text here, in case anyone wants to study directly and not through the filter of me!
Well lets dive in, we are talking more on the illusion the ego paints of the special relationship and the author of ACIM, clearly also being a human and knowing the ways of our mind, digs in deep on this topic. Fully knowing just how much we treasure the illusions of our special partners and relationships.

The Holy Spirit would not deprive you of your special relationships, but would transform them. And all that is meant by that, is that He will restore to them the function given them by God.

For nothing God created is apart from Happiness, and nothing God created but would extend happiness as it’s Creator did. Whatever does not fulfill His function cannot be Real.

Every special relationship you have made is a substitute for God’s will, and glorifies yours instead of His because of the illusion that they are different.

Every special relationship you have made has, as its fundamental purpose, the aim of occupying your mind so completely that you will not hear the call of truth.

And the truth is that the Holy Spirit is in close relationship with you because in Him is your relationship with God restored to you. And through Him have all your holy relationships been carefully preserved, to serve God’s purpose for you.

The insane protect their thought systems, but they do so insanely. And all their defenses are insane as what they are supposed to protect… The special relationship, which is its chief defense, must therefore be insane.

You have but little difficulty now in realizing that the thought system of special relationship protects is but a system of solutions. You recognize, at least in general terms, that the ego is insane. Yet the special relationship still seems to you somehow to be different.

Look at the pictures, both of them. One is a tiny picture, hard to see at all beneath the heavy shadows of its enormous and disproportionate enclosure. The other is lightly framed and hung in the light, lovely to look upon for what it is.

Death lies in this glittering gift (the special relationship). Let not your gaze dwell on the hypnotic gleaming of the frame. Look at the picture, and realize that death is offered you.

For as the whole thought system of the ego lies in its gifts, so the whole of Heaven lies in this instant borrowed from eternity and set in the time for you.

Time cannot contain eternity.

The frame fades gently and God rise to your remembrance offering you the whole of creation in exchange for your little picture, wholly without value and entirely deprived of meaning.

For here is only healing, already complete and perfect. For here is God, and where He is only the perfect and complete can be.

The Holy instant shines alike on all relationships, for in it they are one.

Let us ascend in peace to the Father, by giving him ascendance in our minds.

We will gain everything by giving Him the power and the glory, and keeping no illusions of where they are. They are in use, through is ascendance.
